After 3 hours of this shit not even working, I've finally gotten my TV tuner to work (Hauppauge WinTV-PVR USB2, thanks to E-I), although the remote still wont do shit. The main problem I'm having is that when I try to play my Wii using the tuner, theres a delay of almost a second between my actions and the display. Is there any way I could fix this, or is it a lost cause?

My first guess would be to check the batteries, if your using a wireless controller. I know with those wireless keyboards/mice when they are on low batteries can delay the connection by a few seconds sometimes. But I've never used a wii before so I'm not sure if this is just a problem that needs to be fixed with the console itself. Someone with a wii will have to confirm that.

The Wii's don't have any delay that I know of when the batteries are low. My guess is that it is just the tuner card to the computer delays the interactions.

The delay is from the tuner, and I'm on the verge of figuring out how to fix it. The remote for the tuner doesnt do shit, but I figured out why: the driver for the IR Blaster is missing, and its nowhere to be found on the website. I found the remote driver, but not the IR Driver.

Quick update: Got the remote working, but still no luck on the delay problem.

The verdict? Its hopeless. After doing some shit myself, as well as talking with tech support, I've concluded it is currently not possible to use live preview mode with my current hardware. For some reason, the developers had the great idea of getting rid of that option when the new hardware came out.

Good job, developers. You just wasted $150 of mine, and now I have a paperweight that strongly resembles a Wii.

Just buy a TV.

I have a TV. Its a 19-inch CRT that weighs somewhere in the range of 'way too heavy to carry up 5 flights of stairs on a torn ACL'. That, and its back home right now.
