For everyone who wants to lose weight, get in shape, whatever. Also I think this is a good way to get new ideas for meals and snacks too.

There are no rules, other than be nice!

Keep track of whatever you want to - calories, carbs, exercise, whatever. You can give as much or as little info about yourself as you want. Personally I'm just keeping track of my calories and exercise (and maybe water intake, I haven't decided yet).

If you want to start by telling your goals or whatever, that's cool.

My goals:

Break out of the eating cycle I'm currently stuck in
Lose weight (obv)
Do some sort of exercise at least every other day b/c I'm in terrible shape

I started today but y'all can start whenever. I'll edit in a minute with my food + exercise so far.

Good luck everybody! :burst:

ETA:

Food:

Breakfast: Grande orange mocha frappuccino w/ no whip (270)
Lunch: 1/2 cup white rice (160) + 1/2 cup black beans (130)
Dinner: Salmon & lettuce wrap (400) + 1/2 cup boxed stuffing (110) + 6 oz pineapple orange banana juice (100)
Dessert: Popsicle (25)

Total: 1,195

Water: Probably like 20 glasses, but I was doing an experiment so now I can stop drinking it (THANK GOD)

Exercise: 2 mile walk (round trip) with my friend to the Starbucks

I am trying to get back in shape. Not so much lose weight as gain weight (muscle mass), and be able to swim at least somewhat like I used to.

Food: If I'm hungry and I see food, it wont be there for long.

Drinks: Before and during the workout, water. After the workout, Gatorade. Other than keeping myself hydrated then, I like to enjoy a beer or two every now and then, and I usually have a soda with lunch.

Workout: Here's where it gets fun, and why I feel free to leave my diet untouched.

I lift weights for an hour, cycle for 15-20 minutes (attempting to "fix" my knee), and work various knee muscles for another 10-15 minutes. Then, I change into my drag suit, put on some goggles, and head to the pool. I usually swim for an hour or so, which will gradually increase to 2 hours as I get in shape. For now, the distance stays relatively low, remaining at 2500-3000 yards per workout. Again, this will increase as I get in shape to 6500-7000 yards in 2 hours.

Its gonna be a long, painful trip to get back in shape, but its well worth the trouble. I hope to meet my goal by this time next year, if not earlier.

:hello: Hi spanky panky! That sounds like a LOT of exercise...I wish I had that kind of energy/motivation. :p But you did put the idea in my head that I should start swimming laps again...hmm. I'll think on that.

Today:

2 cups coffee (20)

Dinner: 1/2 cup rice w/ pad thai sauce (250) Boca burger + bun (200) + mustard (I don't count certain condiments)
