And Im in ur national title game, playing OSU.
In all seriousness, Florida deserves it more then Michigan.
Poll added for extra coolness.
Hi, I'm Michigan and am a much better team than Florida.

I am a Michigan fan and I think Michigan should play OSU. Michigan is clearly the better team. Florida and Michigan both only have one loss and Michigan's one loss is to the best team in the nation and Florida's one loss is to #11 Auburn. The only reason I see that Michigan would not play in the title game is that it would be a rematch.

I hate both teams, being from Nebraska, so I hate both Michigan and Florida, but this is where strength of schedule comes into play. Florida plays in the SEC, the toughest conference in the entire league, and they had the hardest schedule of the entire league.
And I don't want a rematch anymore. It'd be boring, it'd be more of a damn chess match than anything else.
Heh, good luck Florida you will need it.

Yeah, they're going to get pwnd in front of the entire country. I hope half of the Florida team gets sent to the hospital.

If I wouldn't have read through the thread, I would have said the same exact thing. At least Michigan had an honorable loss.

If Florida wanted to play in the big game, they shouldn't have been defeated by a lower ranked team.
PS: AwesomeO, my vote was not bias, but based on reason and logic. kbai

Hi, I'm LSU and I still pwn.
I will say I'm kind of sad that LSU isn't playing USC in the Rose Bowl, simply because I wanted my Bayou Bengals to finally shutup the stupid USC fanboys.
Congrats Florida, clearly the better team, I mean, afterall, they did beat LSU.
This pic was found before the selection show was on, z0mg conspiracy??!?!

I'd actually prefer a rematch of one of last year's bowl games: OSU and Notre Dame.
ND's only loss is to Michigan, and has otherwise been nipping at the heels of both Michigan and OSU all season, they're not a member of any conference, but instead elect to play the toughest teams of each conference, and they have yet to play OSU this season.
Plus, I've never liked UF. If any Florida team ever has my support, it's FSU, and even they don't deserve anything this year.
Michigan had it's chance. As much as I'd love to see a bowl game with them, part of the reason we play each other each season is to keep each other from constantly monopolizing a bowl game so assholes like UF have a chance to piss in the big boy lockerroom urinals for once.
Really, I'd call the OSU-Michigan game each year a bowl game in its own right. In fact, I'd call it the best of the bowl games for some of the reasons me and TCJ discussed the other evening: lack of overt commercial sponsorship.

I hate all Florida teams.
I hate Notre Dame.
That is all.
Oh, and Colorado is the trashiest team in the history of college athletics.

Why are you telling me this? I don't give two shits about Colorado teams.
Any of them.
Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets, all colleges...they all suck.

Amen brother.
The 'Big Game' is a lot better sounding than the 'Tostitos Bowl'.

Hi guys, I'm Michigan.
My schedule was made of three different kinds of fail.
The hardest teams I had to play were Wisconsin and OSU. I lost to OSU. Wisconsin is a mere "meh" on the college football radar.
Notre Dame doesn't even get recognition because they just suck balls.
I think that Florida had an extremely tough schedule, which makes them the better team. I also don't want to see a rematch.
And, I don't want to see two shit defenses going against each other.

You're just jealous because no one outside of the steers-&-queers regoin of the US gives a damn about the Red River Shoot-Out.
Michigan is one of the most winningest schools of all time, OSU is a big part of their reputation for being so tough having to go back and forth with their wars, and ND is one of the hardest-working teams in history, win or lose. They've never backed down, and never made excuses for themselves.
So to rip on Michigan with their list of national titles, to tirivialize OSU's legacy, and to put down ND's spirit is probably the biggest fallacy I've heard since the numbers logic being some kind of proof of a 9/11 conspiracy.
Especially when you do all that to try and hype up a shit-hole school like Florida. Son I when to high school in Florida. I know what kind of students go there : ones that have to because FSU doesn't have the major they want, or ones that are too stupid to make it in a school that actually presents an academic challenge. This is how stupid they are at UF: they tried to give me a full scholarship AFTER I had gotten a letter of rejection from them (i only applied because FSU has a crappy engineering program).
Of the 7 people I know off the top of my head that go to UF, only 2 of them are worth anything. I can't say the same low standards apply at Michigan, OSU, or Notre Dame.
Seems to me someone's just upset that his team never stood a chance in the standings.

I've never heard an insult start with that since middle school. congrats.
Oh fuck, don't get all upset just because your precious Big Ten isn't the best conference in football. I'm actually very proud of Oklahoma's standings and how they've done despite loosing their starting QB in the beginning of the year AND loosing their Heisman favorite Adrian Peterson.
Florida has an excellent football program, and if you are too retarded to see that I truly feel sorry for you.
Michigan is a very good team, I'll give anyone that. But they had their chance, and that's that. People say that they didn't get any worse after their loss, and that's true. But they didn't get any better. So, they'll loose again. Therefore, Florida should get a chance to play OSU.
Also, Notre Dame is the most overrated school in a while. And when you say Michigan and OSU are of the most winningest schools of all time, the same can be said for lots of other schools.

EDITRON: to G-T, you HAVE to be kidding me man. Boise State is unbeaten for a reason. And it isn't their skill, or coaching.

Bosie State will beat Oklahomo.
That will depend on two things, how well AD plays when he comes back and paul. Should be a great game. #1 winning % vs #2 winning % since 2000. OU is #1 btw.

It's not an insult, it's true. You can't seem to get past the fact that OSU and Michigan came out more popular than your team.
Oh fuck, don't get all upset just because your precious Big Ten isn't the best conference in football. I'm actually very proud of Oklahoma's standings and how they've done despite loosing their starting QB in the beginning of the year AND loosing their Heisman favorite Adrian Peterson.
I'd say that since Big-10 clinched a choke-hold on 2 of the top 5 ranks throughout most of the season (including #1 the entire time, and #2 most of the time), it does make us the best conference.
And don't give me any sob-story excuses why Oklahoma's not up there. It doesn't win Farve any favor from me, it certainly won't get any Okies any favor either.
Florida has an excellent football program, and if you are too retarded to see that I truly feel sorry for you.
I don't like Florida. Their student body is retarded.
And yes, they had such a wonderful football program that they got a good chunk of themselves suspended for fighting Georgia Tech. I guess sportsmanship has little to do with how good a team you are, huh?
Michigan is a very good team, I'll give anyone that. But they had their chance, and that's that. People say that they didn't get any worse after their loss, and that's true. But they didn't get any better. So, they'll loose again. Therefore, Florida should get a chance to play OSU.
I agree Florida should get the chance, but before you were taking a LOT away from Michigan. Just because it'd be a rematch doesn't mean it wouldn't be good again. It's a good game EVERY time they meet, rematch or not. And if you live in either Michigan, or OSU, every season's game is a rematch of last season. Either side of the fence, it's either a chance at redemption for the last meeting, or a chance to dominate again, and either way we all look forward to it.
That said, I don't think Florida is near as good as Michigan, and I don't think the game will be as good as it would have been if it was Michigan. But in the interest of fairness to all the whiners out there, yes, give a different team a chance. But in reality, the #1 and 2 teams should play each other for the title no matter what. Otherwise, why not have the first and last teams play for it just in the interest of fairness and avoiding a rematch?
Also, Notre Dame is the most overrated school in a while. And when you say Michigan and OSU are of the most winningest schools of all time, the same can be said for lots of other schools.
p.s.- lulz
I'll give you they've been overrated for a few years here, but they're turning that around, especially with this last season.
Also, they've never stopped seeking out the toughest season they could have for themselves. They live to play the best they can find while almost all other teams stick to playing within their conferences and then some middle-rank teams outside their conferences.
In the coming years, with their coaching, you'll see why they've been rated so high despite their record for so long. It's because people know what the legacy of ND can live up to and that it'll be up there again in a matter of time.
